Tayshawn Comer, a 6-foot-1 point guard, recently committed to the Nevada basketball team after transferring from Eastern Kentucky and Evansville. Comer, originally from Indiana, cited his good relationship with head coach Steve Alford as a major factor in his decision to join the Wolf Pack. Comer hopes to bring excitement and success to Nevada and improve his own stats while helping the team achieve its goals of winning the Mountain West Conference and making a deep tournament run.
Joining returner Tyler Rolison, Comer is looking to build on his breakout season at Evansville where he set career highs in scoring, assists, rebounds, and steals. Comer also expressed excitement about working with fellow Indianapolis native and recent Nevada assistant coach Kyle Guy. Comer, who has faced ups and downs in his college career, is determined to make the most of his final season and secure his first NCAA Tournament appearance with the Wolf Pack.
