Nevada County Farm Bureau Hosts 2025 Ag Tour
Grass Valley, CA – May 14, 2025 – The Nevada County Farm Bureau is excited to announce its annual Ag Tour this Wednesday, showcasing local agricultural excellence. Participants will embark on a bus tour to explore notable farms and producers in the area, gaining insight into the agricultural practices that sustain the community.
Debora Totoonchie, Manager of the Farm Bureau, described the organization as a “Chamber of Commerce for farmers and ranchers,” focusing on advocacy for rural livelihoods, including farming and agri-tourism. This year’s tour features stops at New Life Nursery, Four Seasons Garden Supply, Starbright Family Farm, BrushBustin Boers & Restoration Land and Livestock, and Feeding Crane Farm. Lunch will be provided at Western Gateway Park, accompanied by a local beer tasting from Three Forks Brewery & Baking Company.
The Ag Tour aims to foster understanding between local leaders, farmers, and the public about the importance of local food production. "We want participants to connect with producers and appreciate the benefits of agriculture in Nevada County," Totoonchie explained.
