Western Nevada College Announces Commencement Ceremonies and Student Support Initiatives
Western Nevada College (WNC) will celebrate the Class of 2025 with commencement ceremonies on May 19 in Carson City and May 21 in Fallon. The Carson City ceremony begins at 10 a.m. on May 19 at the Marv Teixeira Pavilion, while the Fallon event takes place at the same time on May 21 at Barkley Theatre. Lupe Ramirez, a WNC graduate and president of the Carson City School District board, will deliver the commencement address.
In addition to graduation celebrations, WNC is enhancing community support through its partnership with SkillUp, a career-driven platform that offers job seekers access to over 25,000 job listings and tailored career pathways. This initiative provides coaching services to help individuals with resume building, interview preparation, and networking strategies, empowering them to succeed in the job market.
WNC construction students recently contributed to their community by helping Genoa City Manager Jody Brunz build an office wall, showcasing their skills while supporting local projects. Registration for summer and fall courses is now open, with a wide range of scholarships available for students. The summer session starts on June 9, and the fall semester begins on August 25.
