Carson City home sales decline in the first month of spring


Data released by Sierra Nevada Realtors shows a mixed picture of the housing market in Carson City and other Northern Nevada counties in March. In Carson City, home sales decreased slightly compared to the previous month and the previous year, while prices showed a slight decrease from the previous month but an increase from the previous year. However, the overall market was described as active and healthy by SNR President Leandra Carr.
In Churchill County, there was an increase in home sales compared to the previous month but a decrease from last year. Median sales prices rose from the previous month and year. Douglas County saw a decrease in sales from the previous month and year, but median prices increased. Lyon County experienced a significant increase in home sales but a slight decrease from the previous year, with median prices increasing. Washoe County, excluding Incline Village, saw an increase in new listings and closed sales, with median prices increasing as well. Overall, the housing market in Northern Nevada showed signs of growth in March.
