This Friday, a “Cops and Donuts” fundraiser will be held at three Doughboy Donuts locations in Reno and Sparks to benefit Special Olympics Nevada. Officers and Special Olympic athletes will be collecting donations, raising awareness about the nonprofit, and promoting its polar plunge event. The fundraiser will take place from 5 to 10 a.m. at the Doughboy Donuts stores located at 5272 Sparks Boulevard in Sparks, 5115 Mae Anne Avenue, and 57 Damonte Ranch Parkway, both in Reno.
