Ford highlighted the urgent issues facing Nevadans, stating, "Nevadans are suffering in an economy that is rigged against those trying their hardest to stay afloat." He vows to tackle rising housing costs, prescription drug prices, and to ensure public school excellence and community safety. In response, the Better Nevada PAC, which backs Lombardo, criticized Ford as a “radical” promoting a “dangerous woke agenda.”

With the cost of living and housing affordability dominating concerns among voters, the dynamics make the election crucial for both parties, especially as national Democratic fortunes shift post-2024.
