Smith remarked on CNN about the unacceptable threat level faced by lawmakers, expressing gratitude for her personal safety amid concerns about the situation. Klobuchar recalled her last interaction with the slain couple, emphasizing their vibrant presence at a political event just hours before their tragic deaths.
