New Chabad House to Open in Reno, Nevada
Rabbi Moshe and Doba Cunin (nee Brikman) are embarking on a new Shlichus mission to establish a Chabad House in Reno, Nevada. This initiative aims to launch “Chabad Cares,” a program focused on creating meaningful volunteer opportunities for residents, encouraging community involvement among those not yet connected to traditional services.
Chabad Cares emphasizes acts of kindness, providing avenues for individuals to positively impact their community through programs supporting individuals with special needs, hospital visits, and meal distributions for the less fortunate. This approach aims to foster a welcoming environment for deeper engagement in Jewish life.
Additionally, the Cunins will enhance existing youth and family programs in Northern Nevada, offering vibrant activities such as Camp Gan Israel, CKids, and CTeen. These initiatives are designed to inspire children and teens, helping them grow and connect with their Jewish identity.
