Nevada County Library Launches 2025 Summer Learning Program: "Color Our World!"
Nevada County Library invites children and teens to kick off their summer with the exciting "Color Our World" Summer Learning Program. Running from June 14 to August 8, this initiative keeps young minds active while school is out, encouraging reading, creativity, and engagement in art through music, storytelling, and puppetry.
The launch event on June 14 at the Madelyn Helling Library promises a fun-filled afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m., featuring live music, face painting, snow cones, and a puppet theater performance of "Little Red Riding Hood." Participants aged 0–18 can register for the reading and activity challenge, receiving a free book to start their literary journey.
Throughout the summer, a variety of family-friendly programs will be available, including Wildlife Rescue and Musical Mondays, thanks to support from the Friends of the Library. Additionally, the library partners with the USDA to provide free, healthy meals for kids and teens, combating local food insecurity.
