Sierra Lutheran High School Unveils New Pastor Clausen Memorial Center
On May 21, 2025, Sierra Lutheran High School celebrated the dedication of the Pastor Julias “Juls” Clausen Memorial Center and multipurpose hall, a project years in the making. Head of School Pastor Micah Glenn expressed his joy at this significant expansion, which is set to accommodate more students and diverse academic offerings.
Community members, staff, alumni, and local pastors gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the culmination of extensive planning, fundraising, and community effort. The center, named after the retired principal Clausen, aims to enhance the school’s athletics and academic environments. Clausen’s dedication to education and faith significantly shaped the school’s values and direction.
Alumnus Peyton Hedwall reflected on his journey, crediting Clausen and faculty for instilling belief and potential in students. Senior Michael Miles acknowledged the school’s role in the community, highlighting its unique place despite its size and competitiveness. Project Manager Chris Bonafede noted that the facility, which has a certificate of occupancy for 400, still awaits final touches, including an augmented reality classroom.
Board member Jan Marson hailed the center as a “dream come true,” emphasizing the innovative educational opportunities it will bring to future generations.
