From Stripper to Spiritual Coach: Ashley Edelman’s Journey to Inner Peace
In a transformative journey from the glittering nightlife of male stripping to a life steeped in meditation and peace, Ashley Edelman has shared his remarkable story of personal redemption. Once a successful performer in one of the UK’s largest touring strip shows, Edelman, originally from Australia, found himself grappling with insecurities and a substance-fueled lifestyle that spiraled out of control.
After joining the Army at 17, he struggled with confidence and turned to alcohol to mask his anxiety. Embracing his body for financial gain seemed a natural progression, but success brought with it the added pressure of bodybuilding, steroids, and rampant partying. By 2018, he hit rock bottom, prompting a pivotal decision to exit the adult industry.
His brief return to stripping after a marriage ended was met with discomfort—"I felt like I was selling my soul," he reflected. It was then that he began exploring breathwork and spirituality, ultimately leading him to the iMONASTERY in Chiang Mai, Thailand. For a month, he immersed himself in monastic life, which included early morning chants and Dharma classes, producing profound spiritual insights.
Edelman now resides in Dubai, where he dedicates himself to daily meditation and coaching others on personal development, helping individuals regulate their nervous systems and overcome limiting beliefs. With over 147,000 followers on Instagram, he uses his platform to share his journey, emphasizing that transformation is attainable for anyone facing struggles.
"I used to live a fast-paced, wild life; now I live to serve," he states, expressing gratitude for the lessons learned. While he envisions returning to the monastery annually, his mission remains clear: to uplift others through the wisdom gleaned from his past experiences.
