Nevada Appeal to Mark 160 Years with Community Event
Carson City, NV – The Nevada Appeal is set to celebrate its 160th anniversary with an event titled “Meet Your Merchant: Connecting Community with Business” on Saturday, May 17, at the Carson City Multi-Purpose Athletic Center, 1860 Russell Way. The free event encourages local residents to explore new businesses in Carson City from 2 to 5 p.m.
In addition to supporting local commerce, the celebration will honor the Appeal’s rich history, with its first edition released on May 16, 1865. As part of the festivities, the newspaper will also feature excerpts from a book commemorating its 125th anniversary over the next eight weeks.
