Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Program Crowns First Winner
Gilmer, TX – The Theta Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. hosted its annual Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Program at the Galilee Baptist Church on Saturday. The event celebrated young talent and community involvement, culminating in the crowning of Little Miss Journee Bershere Jeffery as Miss Blue Revue 2025.
Journee, a first-grader at White Oak Primary School, is the daughter of Rev. Steven Jeffery and Je’na Jeffery. She enjoys playing basketball, softball, and gymnastics, and is a member of the youth choir at Valley View Baptist Church. With aspirations of becoming a professional basketball player, she was proudly escorted by her father during the event.
The competition also recognized outstanding runners-up. First runner-up Little Miss Neema Reign Barr-Pruitt, an 11-year-old fifth-grader at Hudson PEP Elementary School, captivated the audience with her vibrant personality and ambition to shine as both an actor and professional athlete. She is the daughter of Jason Barr and Lateefah Pruitt and was also escorted by her father.
Second runner-up Little Miss Malani Serenity Jones, just 5 years old and a kindergartener at East Texas Montessori Prep Academy, showcased her talents and readiness to succeed in various fields, whether it be dancing, athletics, or singing. She is the daughter of Brianna Ransom and Deontray Jones.
The event featured performances from participants, who displayed their talents, modeled career attire, and presented gorgeous pageant dresses. Audience members enjoyed additional entertainment from Showtime Dance and the youth praise dancers from Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church.
