Manufacturing Technology Series EAST Set to Ignite Innovation in West Springfield, Mass.
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 7, 2025 – SME and AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology – are proud to announce the Manufacturing Technology Series EAST, scheduled for May 13-15, 2025, at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts. This event marks the return of EASTEC, a long-standing fixture for manufacturers in the Northeast, and serves as the inaugural event in a series of four regional shows planned for the year.
Steve Prahalis, COO of SME, emphasized the event’s importance in fostering the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, stating that while these innovations can enhance efficiency and profitability, barriers still exist. The series aims to connect technical experts with local manufacturers to bridge these gaps.
The Manufacturing Technology Series EAST offers a comprehensive experience for attendees, including the Executive Perspectives Keynote Series, which features panels from thought leaders discussing pressing industry issues and technology impact. Exhibitors will showcase groundbreaking smart manufacturing solutions, spanning sectors like aerospace and pharmaceuticals.
In addition to connecting manufacturers with solution providers, the event aims to engage the next generation of talent through the Bright Minds Student Summit. This initiative will allow students from 13 high schools to explore manufacturing careers via guided tours and competitions, fostering connections with leading companies in the sector.
Douglas K. Woods, AMT president, underscored that the event is not just about technology but about education and networking, making it vital for manufacturers looking to enhance their business outcomes.
