Nevada Appeal Celebrates 160th Anniversary with Community Event
Carson City, NV – The Nevada Appeal is set to celebrate its 160th anniversary with a special event titled "Meet Your Merchant: Connecting Community with Business" on Saturday, May 17, from 2-5 p.m. at the Carson City Multi-Purpose Athletic Center, 1860 Russell Way. This free event will allow residents to explore local businesses that may be new to them, strengthening the community’s ties with its merchants.
As part of the celebration, the Appeal will recognize its historic milestone, tracing back to its first edition published on May 16, 1865. To commemorate this significant occasion, the newspaper will reprint excerpts from a book chronicling its 125-year history over the subsequent weeks.
