University of Nevada, Reno Honors Outstanding Scholars
RENO, NV – At the end of each semester, the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) and the Nevada Alumni Association celebrate academic excellence by recognizing outstanding undergraduate students through the Senior Scholar program. This prestigious distinction includes a framed certificate, a commemorative booklet, and a unique Senior Scholar pin, awarded to one exemplary student from each school or college.
This semester’s honorees include Julianna Li and Hannah Marie Taylor, both achieving a perfect GPA of 4.00. Li, a biochemistry major, is set to attend medical school after graduation, while Taylor, an accounting major, plans to pursue CPA certifications and work with RubinBrown in Las Vegas.
Other notable scholars include Kasandra Medina-Torres (Integrated Elementary Education) and Sean Adams (Computer Science and Electrical Engineering), who also boast perfect GPAs. Each student expressed gratitude for their mentors and shared memorable experiences that enriched their college life, including impactful college events and supportive faculty.
Alexa Savage (Spanish and Environmental Science) and Kyra Fields (Journalism), alongside their peers, embody the spirit of the Wolf Pack, demonstrating commitment to academics and community engagement with future aspirations in diverse fields, including health, education, and technology.
