Grass Valley, CA – The Grass Valley Police Department responded to multiple incidents, including property crimes and disturbances, on recently noted calls. Early this morning, a trespasser was caught on security cameras attempting to enter a residence on Crown Point Circle. Later, reports came in about individuals behaving oddly in public spaces, including a male in Dorsey Drive’s parking lot and another on North Auburn Street smoking an unknown substance.
Significant incidents also occurred around midday; an altercation involving a drunk male threatening another person led to an arrest for assault. The day’s events continued with reported juvenile assaults on a passerby and noise complaints regarding loud music.
Meanwhile, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office faced a variety of unusual calls, from a loose chicken in Gracie Road to concerns over potentially rabid squirrels on Cherokee Street. A notable incident involved a disturbance at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, where a belligerent patron was ultimately arrested.
