Reno Police Conduct School Zone Safety Operations: Results Announced
The Reno Police Department has successfully completed a series of school zone safety operations throughout April, focusing on maintaining safe environments for students amid concerns over unsafe driving practices. From April 1 to April 30, officers targeted active school zones identified through community feedback about dangerous driving.
During the operations, law enforcement personnel prioritized monitoring both drivers and pedestrians for violations of pedestrian safety laws. The enforcement efforts yielded significant results, with a total of 119 traffic tickets issued, along with 40 warnings dispensed to drivers. Additionally, two individuals were arrested during this initiative.
