Fatal Rollover Crash in Nevada Claims Life of Salt Lake City Man
IMLAY, Nev. (KUTV) — A tragic rollover accident on Saturday night resulted in the death of Aaron Steffens, a 42-year-old man from Salt Lake City. Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) troopers responded to the incident around 9:35 p.m. MST on Interstate 80, near milepost 52 in Pershing County.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Steffens was driving a grey 2001 Ford Mustang coupe eastbound in the right lane when he veered left for reasons still under investigation. His vehicle left the roadway, spun out, and ultimately rolled over before coming to a stop in the center median.
Emergency responders pronounced Steffens dead at the scene. The NHP’s Traffic Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to come forward as they work to determine the factors that led to this tragic accident. As the investigation continues, the road remains a stark reminder of the dangers of driving and the fragility of life.
