Press Release: Inmate Passes Away at Northern Nevada Correctional Center
Carson City, NV — An 82-year-old inmate, William J. Coleman, was pronounced dead on Monday at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center, according to a news release from the Nevada Department of Corrections. Coleman had been incarcerated since 2010, serving a sentence ranging from 10 years to life for lewdness involving a minor.
The cause of death has not yet been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Nevada Department of Corrections confirmed his passing and expressed condolences to the family during this difficult time. Coleman’s lengthy incarceration underscores the challenges faced by aging inmates within the justice system.
