In an exciting development for Nevada football, safety Kitan Crawford was chosen by the Arizona Cardinals with the ninth pick of the seventh round (225th overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft. An All-Mountain West Honorable Mention and a critical player for the Wolf Pack, Crawford emerged as a standout during the 2024 season. He led the team in tackles with 76, notably scoring a defensive touchdown on a 52-yard interception return against Oregon State.
After transferring from Texas, Crawford made an immediate impact in his final season at Nevada, taking charge as the free safety. He recorded two interceptions and 3.0 tackles-for-loss, demonstrating his defensive prowess with at least four tackles in every game. He reached a personal best of 11 tackles in a match against Air Force.
