In a hard-fought battle, Nevada Men’s Tennis narrowly lost to top-seeded Boise State at the Mountain West Championships semifinals, 4-3. Despite coming within two points of an upset, the Pack fell short against the 42nd-ranked Broncos. Senior Youssef Kadiri ended his college career on a high note, winning his final match and tying the program’s single-season record for singles victories with 27 wins.
Boise State dominated the doubles session, taking a 2-0 lead. Nevada fought back in singles with Kadiri’s record-tying win over No. 121 Middleton and Greg Valente’s victory to tie the dual. However, Boise State secured the win with Van Herzeele’s triumph over Trégourès in a close match.
Although Nevada’s journey in the Mountain West Championships ended in a loss, the team displayed determination and fought hard until the end. The Pack can be proud of their performance and Kadiri’s impressive accomplishments throughout the season.
