Nevada Women’s Tennis player Amahée Charrier has been named the Mountain West Player of the Year, making her the second player in program history to win this prestigious award. Charrier, along with teammate Marlene Foerster, was also named to the All-Mountain West Singles list. Charrier had an outstanding season with a 26-7 singles record, the most victories ever in a Wolf Pack season. She also excelled in doubles, finishing with a 15-6 record alongside partner Kennedy Robinson. Foerster also had a strong season with a 13-4 record in the second flight.
The duo’s performances helped lead Nevada to a program-record 17-win season. Charrier’s 8-1 conference record was crucial in achieving the team’s success. She now joins Claudia Herrero as the only players in program history to win a conference Player of the Year award. Nevada will continue their season at the Mountain West Championships, facing the winner of Air Force and New Mexico in the quarterfinals.
