Amodei Confronted by Group in Reno for Policy Inaction

A group of around 20 protestors gathered outside the Atlantis Casino in Reno last Thursday to demand that Congressman Mark Amodei represent Nevadans’ interests. The congressman was participating in a panel discussion on federal policies and Nevada’s economic priorities inside the casino. The demonstrators held signs with messages like “Represent or Resign” and called for more transparency and accountability from elected officials.

Jennifer Bushman, one of the protestors, emphasized the importance of elected officials listening to the concerns of the people they represent. The group expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration and called on leaders like Amodei to prioritize the interests of Nevadans.

The event was moderated by Chris Reilly, a state infrastructure coordinator from the office of the governor, and was sponsored by organizations such as NV Energy and Briggs Electric. The protestors were part of a larger movement seen across Nevada in recent weeks, expressing their desire for elected officials to engage with the community and work towards policies that benefit the state.
