Geiger Grade Road Reopens After Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Geiger Grade Road, also known as State Route 341, has reopened following a fatal crash that occurred just north of Washoe Mile Marker 4. The Nevada State Police reported that the road was closed in both directions due to the incident.
The crash, which involved a motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed, resulted in the rider failing to turn on a curve, leading to his tragic death at the scene. The adult male rider was pronounced dead by responding Highway Patrol officers.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and motorists are urged to use an alternate route and avoid the area. The closure caused disruptions in the area, but the road has since been reopened by NDOT.
Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time. Please continue to exercise caution and adhere to posted speed limits while driving in the area.
