The chatbot system is supported by Zendesk, Google, and Cisco Systems. While the AI tools offer great potential, there are concerns about data security and accuracy that need to be addressed. The IRC has taken steps to ensure that data from the chatbots is anonymized and protected from malicious actors.
As organizations navigate the ethical and practical challenges of integrating AI into humanitarian efforts, experts stress the importance of involving diverse stakeholders in the decision-making process. Local knowledge and perspectives are critical in designing systems that are effective and ethically responsible.
