After the publication of the Best of Nevada County magazine, an unknown company reaches out to local businesses to sell unofficial merchandise, claiming to be connected to The Union when they are not. Only first-place winners are contacted by The Union for logo usage and merchandise purchases. Any merchandise offered by this company is not authorized or endorsed by The Union and usually costs more. The Union urges businesses to be cautious and visit their office or website for legitimate contact information.
