Nevada Softball staged an incredible comeback to defeat Utah State and maintain its lead in the Mountain West standings. Down 7-1 in the fifth inning, the Wolf Pack rallied to win on Lexi O’Gorman’s walk-off single. This marked O’Gorman’s second walk-off hit of the season. Aaliyah Jenkins also hit her 50th career home run during the game.
The game saw impressive offensive performances from multiple Nevada players, with five hitters recording multiple hits. Pitchers Hailey McLean and Ainsley Berlingeri also played key roles in the victory, with Berlingeri shutting down Utah State’s offense to spark the comeback.
Nevada’s win solidified their position at the top of the Mountain West standings, holding a 1.5-game lead over any other team in the conference. The team’s 33rd win of the season tied a program record, showcasing their strong performance throughout the year.
The Wolf Pack will face Utah State again in their next game, looking to continue their success on the field.
