Nevada women’s sports are on the verge of potentially bringing home two conference titles as the women’s tennis and women’s golf teams compete in Mountain West championships. Women’s tennis is tied for second with UNLV and must win their regular-season finale against New Mexico while hoping for a SDSU loss to have a shot at a share of the conference title. Women’s golf is in third place behind San Jose State and UNLV heading into the final round, with Nevada aiming for their first conference title. In softball, Nevada is in first place in the MW standings and faces a crucial series against second-place Utah State. Nevada baseball is also looking to stay in the title race as they begin a conference series with Washington State.
Nevada women’s sports have not won a conference championship in 16 seasons, with the last title coming in 2016 for women’s swimming and diving. The last Nevada women’s sports title before that was in 2009 for softball in the WAC. The last team to win a MW title was men’s tennis in May 2022.
