A predominantly Southern Nevada class of 11 individuals will be inducted into the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association’s Hall of Fame in June. The 31st class includes notable names such as Jim Cavin, Mike Gomez, Amy Huntsman, and Marc Ratner, among others. The inductees have made significant contributions to high school sports in Nevada and have positively impacted the student-athletes of the state.
The induction ceremony will take place on June 26 at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The bios of each inductee have been compiled by the NIAA, highlighting their impressive careers and achievements in their respective fields within high school sports.
From coaching to officiating, the inductees have had storied careers in various sports such as football, basketball, baseball, and swimming. Several of them have achieved milestones such as state championships, coaching hundreds of wins, and serving in leadership roles within their respective schools and associations.
The diverse backgrounds and accomplishments of the inductees reflect the dedication and passion they have for high school sports and the impact they have had on the young athletes they have mentored over the years. The NIAA is honored to welcome this deserving class into its prestigious Hall of Fame and celebrate their collective accomplishments and contributions to sports in Nevada.
