Trump Picks Sigal Chattah as Nevada’s Temporary U.S. Attorney

President Donald Trump has nominated Sigal Chattah, Nevada Republican National Committeewoman, to serve as interim U.S. Attorney in Nevada, pending Senate confirmation. Chattah’s nomination was praised by Nevada Republican Party chairman Michael McDonald for her dedication to advocating for the President’s priorities and investigating corruption in the state.

Chattah, known for her work in reopening churches in Nevada during the pandemic, previously ran for Nevada attorney general in 2022. Her controversial statements during the campaign included calling her opponent, incumbent AG Aaron Ford, a racist slur and expressing discriminatory views towards transgender individuals. Despite backlash, Chattah refused to apologize for her remarks and continued to assert her commitment to holding corrupt officials accountable.

If confirmed, Chattah has promised to investigate both Democrats and Republicans involved in criminal activity, including former President Trump. She has also vowed to protect Second Amendment rights and uphold constitutional freedoms.

In a recent opinion piece, Chattah criticized former President Obama for what she perceived as failures in addressing domestic terrorism rooted in Islam, and called for a course correction in the fight against homegrown threats.

Chattah, who was born in Israel and moved to the U.S. as a teenager, remains a controversial figure in Nevada politics. Her nomination for U.S. Attorney has sparked debate and drawn attention to her uncompromising stance on corruption and political issues.
