Krysta Palmer, a Wolf Pack All-American and 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, has been named Nevada’s next diving coach. This announcement was made by Athletic Director Stephanie Rempe and Swimming and Diving head coach Brendon Bray. Palmer has been serving as the assistant diving coach at Nevada for the past eight seasons and has helped Nevada divers win 32 medals at the Mountain West Championships. She is also a two-time Mountain West Diver of the Year and a decorated diver herself.
Palmer expressed her honor at stepping into the coaching position and giving back to the sport that she loves. Her career has been highlighted by various achievements, including winning a bronze medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. University President Brian Sandoval praised Palmer as a tremendous teacher and motivator.
With her experience and accolades as an Olympic medalist, Palmer is well-equipped to lead the Wolf Pack diving program to greater heights. Her appointment as the new diving coach is expected to bring continued success and development to the program.
