Na’Onche Osborne, the adopted son of former Nevada State Senator Pat Spearman, was tragically murdered in a shooting at a Las Vegas-area casino. The shooting took place at the Aliante Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas, where Osborne succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect in the shooting, Aerion Warmsley, fled the scene and led police on a chase throughout Las Vegas, carjacking several vehicles and critically injuring a mother of four before being apprehended. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
Spearman, a former state senator and unsuccessful mayoral candidate, adopted Osborne as a teenager to provide him with a better life after a troubled past involving violence. Osborne had previously been involved in a shooting incident that resulted in charges of attempted murder and battery.
The tragic loss of Osborne has left Senator Spearman and her family devastated, and they are asking for privacy during this difficult time. Warmsley has been charged with felony murder, and the investigation into the shooting continues.
