Nevada secures the series with a victory


Nevada continued their winning streak with a dominant 9-1 victory over Washington State on Saturday, clinching their Mountain West series. Alessandro Castro led the Wolf Pack on the mound, earning his fourth win of the season with a solid performance. The offense was sparked by Junhyuk Kwon, who hit a leadoff home run, and Sean Yamaguchi, who returned from injury to contribute with a two-run homer. Jayce Dobie also added a two-run shot to help Nevada secure the win. Washington State struggled to keep up, with starter Nick Lewis taking the loss after giving up eight runs. Ryan Skjonsby provided the lone run for the Cougars with a solo homer. With this win, Nevada improved to 16-10 overall and 5-3 in the Mountain West conference.
