Nevada Mining Association Welcomes Rebecca Hall as Community Engagement Manager
Reno, NV – The Nevada Mining Association (NVMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Hall as its new Community Engagement Manager. In her role, Hall will spearhead community outreach efforts across the state, collaborating closely with the NVMA’s communications and government relations teams to enhance and promote various organizational initiatives, including education, membership, and advocacy efforts.
Hall, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Environment from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and is pursuing a Master of Science in Geoscience from the same university, brings a wealth of experience in leadership, education, and public engagement to her new position. Her background includes pivotal roles such as the director of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, founder and executive director of the Nevada Science Center, and director of education at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.
With her expertise as a geoscientist and educator, Hall has established strong affiliations with key organizations, including the Geological Society of Nevada, where she served as Secretary for the Southern Nevada chapter for five years, and the Nevada Division of Minerals. Her extensive experience in developing educational programs and partnerships will be invaluable in fostering community relationships and advancing the NVMA’s mission.
The Nevada Mining Association anticipates that Hall’s leadership will significantly contribute to the organization’s objectives, promoting the importance of mining in Nevada and enhancing its role in local communities throughout the state.
