Reno, Nevada – After an impressive month of October, Nevada Men’s Tennis players Youssef Kadiri and Lucas Hammond have qualified for the ITA West Sectional Championships in Malibu, California. The tournament, which will take place at Pepperdine University from November 7 to November 10, serves as a crucial opportunity for athletes to secure their spot in the NCAA Individual Championships this fall. The top three doubles pairs from the Sectional Championships will move on to the NCAA Individual Championships.
Kadiri and Hammond have had a successful run as a duo, boasting a 9-3 record in October. They secured a notable victory over the #11 ranked BYU pairing during the ITA Mountain Regional quarterfinal. Their impressive performance in the ITA Mountain Regional semifinals earned them the opportunity to compete in the upcoming Sectional Championships.
The ITA West Sectional Championships will feature players from the Northwest, Southwest, and Mountain Regional. The draws and schedule for the tournament are yet to be released, but Kadiri and Hammond are prepared to showcase their skills and compete for a spot in the NCAA Individual Championships.
