Marquette’s Employee Wellness Center has recently received a technological upgrade, allowing employees to use their personal devices or the center’s cable TV subscription for entertainment while working out. The center now features updated monitors, WiFi, and Bluetooth capability to enhance the workout experience for faculty and staff.
The Employee Wellness Center is a dedicated space that provides cardio, agility, flexibility, and free weight training equipment, as well as restroom, shower, and water-filling facilities. It is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Employees are required to sign a waiver available in the rec sports member portal before using the facility, but they do not need to be a Rec Center member to access the Employee Wellness Center.
Employees interested in additional wellness resources are encouraged to visit the My Wellness program website, which offers tools to manage health, track activity, support financial wellness, and more. The program also includes confidential 1:1 coaching resources at no cost to employees.
Overall, the technology upgrade at the Employee Wellness Center aims to provide a more enjoyable and convenient workout experience for Marquette’s faculty and staff. With a variety of equipment and resources available, employees have the opportunity to prioritize their health and well-being while on campus.
